COF From reimbursement to prevention: the UK’s strategic shift in tackling online fraud

There were an estimated 4.1 million fraud incidents in the year ending December 2024 at a cost to the UK economy of £14.4 billion. It is the most commonly experienced crime, accounting for over 43 per cent of all offences in the UK.
